Q. What is a Diagnostic auto electrician?
A: An auto Electrician works with all of the switches, buttons, motors, sensors, wiring, lights, engine management (ecu & modules) & battery and charge systems. They also fit extra ancillaries ie: camping equipment, pumps, heating etc.... on horseboxes, bikes, cars, hgv and plant. A Diagnostic specialist will also be able to plug into your ECU & all control modules, interrogate for codes and issues using both simple code production and live data. Using an oscilloscope, they also test for wave types, patterns, time bases and for voltage and amp peaks and troughs in real time. Other test equipment is used also.
Q. Do you cover my area?
A. We are based near Gatwick airport and our mobile service covers a large area of Surrey, Sussex, Kent & East Hampshire.
We will drive 1 hour from Crawley Sussex.
We do not cover London.

Q. Where is the workshop ?
A. The Workshop is in Rusper West Sussex.
Q. Do you do general car mechanics ?
A. No we do not, we only diagnose, repair and work on anything related to auto electrics and jobs that arise from doing those works.
Q. Do you work on older vehicles?
A. Yes we love Classic or older vehicles, recently we worked on a car that was made in 1911.
Q. Do you work on other machinery?
A. Yes we have worked on tractors, campers, HGV's, plant machinery, tree surgeons equipment, line painters, cherry pickers, waste management conveyor's, boats, horseboxes, and an electric scooter. If it has an engine and electrics then yes i'll take a look.
Q. Do you work evenings & weekends?
A. No we do not work on vehicles but we answer the phone on saturdays, message in the evenings and will do pick ups and drop offs at the weekends. We try to have sundays off.
Q. Do you fit stereos/speakers?
A. No we dont fit them and advise you use an audio specialist.
We can tell you if they are working and fix any wiring or faults causing problems with your existing equipment but we do not install new systems.
Q. How can I pay ?
A. We accept payment on the day of your appointment via Card, cash or bank transfer. We accept all major cards including American Express.
Q. Do you fit parts I have sourced myself ?
A. We cannot fit any parts sourced from e-bay or any other second hand dealers. We can only fit new parts when we have discussed it with you first.
Q. Do you offer any discounts ?
A.Yes we offer 10% for all servicepersons as we very much appreciate the work you do to keep us safe and well.
This includes the Police, Ambulance, Rescue & Fire service's, Military and also NHS Doctors & Nurses, please mention when booking.
Q. Can you collect & deliver my vehicle ?
A. By special arrangment yes we can.
Q. Can I just pay for a diagnostic only?
A. Yes of course, we are very happy to leave you to do the repairs and just give you a full diagnostic report.
Q. Can I just have advice only ?
A. We offer a consult service charged in 30 minute intervals for any advice or guidance you may need.
Q. Do you cover warranty work?
A. No sorry.
Q. Can I just leave my keys/car for a mobile appointment as I wont be there?
A. A responsible adult needs to be with your vehicle when Jay arrives to your appointment, he needs to be able to discuss findings and options with you at the time, if you require a later report or phonecall then we will need to charge you for this service.
